The voltage at the input to the hair dryer is

V = (current) · (resistance)

V = (15 A) · (8 Ω)

V = 120 volts

The power dissipated by the hair dryer is

P = (current)²· (resistance)

P = (15 A)² · (8 Ω)

P = 1800 watts
