In the story, "A Clean Well-Lighted Place" by Hemingway, what is it, besides insomnia that makes the older waiter reluctant to go to bed? Be sure to comment on his meditation with its nada Also explain why the older waiter seems to understand the old man’s need for the café. What does the café represent for the two of them?

The older waiter is reluctant due to he is living with the guilt or shame of committing something wrong when he was younger. The refrain means that the waiter does not believe in God and is not so religious. They are both lonely people so that the older waiter understands the need for the café. The café represents them both.
