Answer: 4 office visits will make the two plans cost $760.00

Explanation:

The first plan costs $700.00 and $15 for each office visit. If you visit 4 times, then that is $15 x 4 = $60.00 for the 4 visits.

$700.00 + $60.00 = $760.00

The second plan costs $560.00 and $50 for each office visit. If you visit 4 times, then that is $50 x 4 = $200.00 for the 4 visits.

$560.00 + $200.00 = $760.00

Therefore 4 visits to the office will cost the same amount $760.00 for both plans.

Answer: 4 visits;

Let x be the number of visits to the doctor's office.

With the first plan it will cost (700+15x)$.

With the second plan it will cost (560+50x)$.

Equalizing both equations 700+15x = 560+50x

Simplifying 35x = 140, x = 4:
