we know that

The rule of the translation of the pre-image to the image is equal to

B ------> B'

(x,y) ------> (x+4, y-5)

That means----> The translation is 4 units at right and 5 units down

we have

(6,-8)=(x+4,y-5)

so

x+4=6 -----> x=6-4=2

y-5=-8 ----> y=-8+5=-3

The coordinates of the pre-image B are (2,-3)
