Explain the similarities between mass and moment of inertia.

Step-by-step explanation:

Mass is measure of inertia of the object. where in rotational motion or in linear motion.

Considering second law of motion as:

F = ma (where F is force, m is mass and a is acceleration)

If mass is increased, the force required to accelerate the mass to same value of acceleration will be greater as compared to the previous value.

In rotational motion also, the mass is replaced is moment of inertia but both represents the same in their respective motion.

Inertia is the oppose to any change in direction of velocity and direction and mass is a inertia but it has different names in different motions.
