^nP_r=(n!)/((n-r)!)

The number of ways four people can sit next to each other in a stadium row will be given by :-


^4P_4=(4!)/((4-4)!)


=(4*3*2*1)/(0!)\ \ \ n!=n* (n-1)*(n-2),...(2)(1)


=24\ \ \ \ \text{ since}0!=1

Hence, the number of ways can four people sit next to each other in a stadium row =24
