[ Molar mass of
{\sf \: CO_2 }= Molar mass of Carbon + 2×( Molar mass of Oxygen )]

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: Molar \: \: mass \: \: of \: \: C O _2 = 44 \: g

[ i.e 1 mole of

So, by unitary method :

The first thing we need to do is calculate the mass of one mole of carbon dioxide, and we get:

(Mass of Carbon) + (Mass of 2 Oxygen atoms) = Molar mass

Mass = 12 + (2 × 16) = 44g
