- (2x - 3) = 33 - 4x

Pretend that there is a -1 in front of the bracket.

Multiply the bracket by -1

-1(2x-3)= 33-4x

(-1)(2x)(-1)(-3)= 33-4x

-2x+3= 33-4x

Move -4x to the other side. Sign changes from -4x to +4x

-2x+4x+3= 33-4x+4x

-2x+4x+3= 33

2x+3= 33

Move +3 to the other side. Sign changes from +3 to -3.

2x+3-3= 33-3

2x= 30

divide by 2

2x/2= 30/2

x= 15

Answers: x= 15
