Answer: Cell cycle has four stages: 1) G1 phase, 2) S phase, 3) G2 Phase, 4) M phase.

Explanation: Cell cycle is a sequence of events highly regulated that occurs in a cell before division. The first stage is called G1 (Gap 1), and it's a stage of growth and synthesis of proteins. At the end of G1, cells must pass through a checkpoint that detects if the cell was damaged, if that's the case, cells are arrested in G1, if the cell is okay, begins the S phase. In S phase the cell's DNA is replicated and it's continuosly check for replication errors or breaks. Then the cell enters in G2 phase where errors are repaired and later, the cell begins division or M phase (Mitosis) where is divided in two daughter cells.
