3/2 + 1/2x = 2/x

Write 2x in fraction format with 2 as the denominator to match the left side:

2 = 4/2

The equation is now:

3/2 + 1/2x = 4/2x

Subtract 1/2x from each side:

3/2 = 3/2x

Divide both sides by 3/2

x = 1
