A secondary source tells you about an event but it is a time after the event occurred. Secondary sources are second-hand information. A secondary source comes from someone who has done research and then writes about an someones experience. Secondary sources are important because they can give you the information of what happened, without actually being there. In other words, it gives you the details of what happened in the event but you're not actually there witnessing it. Examples of secondary sources could include biographies, textbooks, and almanacs. In our world today, historians can't go back in time so secondary sources are very important to see what happened a long time ago.
