Answer:

1)

Latitude: equator is axis, range is 0- 90, how far north to south, y-axis

Longitude: prime meridian is axis, range is 0-180, how far east to west, x-axis

2)

3N° 170°E, 10°S 170°W

Step-by-step explanation:

2) First off, the two things you must know about coordinates are:

  • Coordinates are written with latitude first (N or S) and then longitude (E or W).

  • They can only be written in pairs with one of each. So like NE aka NorthEast, NW aka NorthWest. or like SE aka South East, SW aka Southwest

So by using the last rules, you eliminate most of those coordinates.

  • Now, the last thing to remember that the latitude is N/S, and longitude is W/E.
  • So the highest number for latitude would be 90°, whereas longitude would be 180°.

Which of course means we could eliminate the last two, and we get our answer.

I hope this helps and I am not too late! I wish you luck on your assignment!
