Answer:slavery started because there wasn't enough workers to work in the field and the rich people were not going to get out in the field and do hard manual labor.

the slaves were brought over here by ships and they were sold to slave owners.

they worked in the fields and took care of basic house duties such as cleaning the house cooking and taking care of the children.

not every region had fields and other accommodations.

slaves meant more labor and they were replaceable so the more slaves we had the more work could be done

they had abusive owners starvation and among other things

they could have gotten out there themselves and worked and paid others to help them do the work
