What are the possible values ofx and y for two distinct points. (5,-2) and (x,y), to represent a function?

For functions, the rule regarding points is that there can't be two y values for the same x. Or in other words you can't have two points that have the same x. ys can repeat though. So since (5,-2) already has a 5 in the x place, no other point can have a 5
