Homophones are words that sound the same, but that have different meanings and are spelled differently from each other. Many words in our English language our homophones meaning that when you hear them the sound the same, but they are used in different contexts.

An example of a homophone is "nose" and "knows."

These words sound the same but mean different things. A nose is part of your body and the second word is when you have knowledge about something.
