Subtract 7x from both sides
-2x + 2 > -1
Subtract 2 on both sides
-2x > -3
Divide both sides by -2. Flip the inequality since you're dividing by a negative
x < 3/2
In interval notation it would be:
( -∞ , 3/2) or ( -∞ , 1.5)
Answer: x < 3/2 or x < 1.5
Interval notation: ( -∞ , 1.5) or ( -∞ , 1.5)
