-10 + (7x) + 24 - (2x)
7x - 2x = 5x
-10 + 5x + 24
Addition so we can rearrange terms
-10 + 24 + 5x
-10 + 24 = 24 - 10 + 14
14 + 5x

Combine both 7x and -2x. You can combine -10 and 24
