Solve 3(y+4) = 24

could you please explain how you found y ^^

Alright, so, we have 3(y+4) = 24
So, here is what we are going to do:
3(y+4) = 24
= 3*Y + 3*4 = 24
= 3Y + 12 = 24
Next up, we want to get rid of the 12.
= 3Y + 12 -12 = 24
= 3Y = 24
= 3Y/3 = 24/3
= Y = 8
