Answer: During the initial assessment, either urinary stones or an enlarged prostate would be expected. Due to his age, tumors in the prostate are also a likelihood. The patient has an elevated blood pressure which shows he is in pain.

The doctor will his a foley to help empty the bladder and perform blood tests on the patient.
