Answer:

The probability of this occurring is
(7)/(66)

Explanation:

Given : There are seven boys and five girls in a class. The teacher randomly selects three different students to answer questions. The first student is a girl, the second student is a boy, and the third student is a girl.

To Find : The probability of this occurring ?

Solution :

Number of boys = 7

Number of girls = 5

Total number of student = 12

The teacher randomly selects three different students to answer questions.

The probability when first student is girl is
(5)/(12)

The probability when second student is boy is
(7)/(11)

The probability when third student is girl is
(4)/(10)

The probability of this occurring is

P=(5)/(12)* (7)/(11)*(4)/(10)

P=(7)/(66)

Therefore, The probability of this occurring is
(7)/(66)
