A triangle with vertices at A(0,0), B(0,4), and C(6.0) is dilated to yield a triangle with vertices at A'(0,), B'10, 10), and C (15,0). The origin is

k · ( 0, 0 ) = ( 0 , 0 )

k · ( 0 , 4 ) = ( 0 , 10 )

k · ( 6, 0 ) = ( 15, 0 )

k = 15/6 = 10/4 = 2.5

Answer: The scale of dilation is 2.5
