The temperature outside an airliner was -50*F. This was 110* less than the temperature on the ground. What was the temperature on the ground?

Answer:

60 degrees

Explanation:

-50*+110*=60

Outside is -50, on the ground is 110

since the ground is positive, you are going to be adding.

-50 + 110

if you are not good at negatives you can rewrite it to say

110-50=60

still the 110 is positive and the 50 is negative.

Hope this helps!
