Answer:

First of all, we need to understand that The principles of natural life specify that all people has the right to Life, Liberty, and pursuit of Happiness ever since we are born. No entity should be able to deny such rights from us.

But,

In the past, the existence of entity that can restrict this natural rights were generally accepted and common in different societies (such as nobles who can act above the law or overpowered dictators). We can say that principle of natural rights reflected in the Declaration of Independence or the Articles of Confederation because both of these documents basically free us from this restrictions and prevent those in power to take the natural rights from us.
