Answer: The Grand canyon is the structure formed due to the down-cutting of the rocks by the river Colorado. The rocks are very steep here about forty distinct layers of rocks are found there. In order to obtain the oldest fossil from here, one must look for the deepest point where the oldest rocks are present. This oldest rocks are the source of getting the oldest fossils. Various fossils are found there such as, shark tooth, brachiopods and ammonites.

The similarities between micro-evolution and macro-evolution is that in both the cases, organisms undergoes evolution and they are able to adapt themselves to the changing environmental condition.
