DNA quantification is necessary to determine the amount of DNA. DNA quantification is important during the various biolmolecular reactions and in case of determining a disease.

DNA quantification can be done by diphenylamine reaction. The diphenyl amine reacts with the deoxyribose sugar and produce a characteristic blue colir. The absorbance of DNA can be taken at 595 nm and later this absorbance is used for the DNA quantification.
