How do I write the rule for the nth term of the sequence -4, 8, -12, 16?

The result of adding a number plus the next number will be alternating 4,-4,4,-4,4,-4......

-4+8 = 4

8+ -12= -4

-12 +16 =4

16+-20=-4

-20 + 24=4

24+-28 = -4

So you need to calculate what number plus the previous number has as result 4 or -4 alternating

8 + ? = -4

?= -4 -8

?=-12

-12+? =4 ?=12+4 ?=16

16+? =-4 / = -16-4 ?=-20

ANOTHER METHOD

4*-1=-4

4*2=8

4*-3=-12

4*4 = 16

4*-5=-20

4*6=24

4*-7=-28

4*8=32
