Answer:

It is not as helpful because the smaller it gets, the closer it is to the answer. If the estimate and the actual answer is almost the same, it defeats the purpose of estimating.

Hope this helps!! :D

Answer:

Explanation:

Since I'm a huge fan of estimation, I like the fact that you are being asked.

One should always estimate things like miles per gallon, miles per hour and perhaps if you can cost per filling up your car (cost per gallons). Anything that makes you look at the numbers around you is a good practice. If you shop, it is an ideal habit to develop.

Answer: What makes the problem hard when working with numbers less than 1 is "How many leading zeros does the answer have?" In the question you posted as an example, the estimated answer is about 37, but where's the decimal? Are there 2 zeros or 3 zeros after the decimal but before the 37?

==================================

You are not required to answer the question. It is 3. But you are required to give some reason which I have. You may not know why it is between 2 zeros and 3 zeros, but you do know that the zeros are the problem.
