Answer:

Play a role as energy reserve molecule, are made up of three fatty acids and one glycerol.

Step-by-step explanation:

Fats are essential parts of the food. It is an energy giving food and reserves the energy in the cell. A fat molecule consists of a glycerol head and three fatty acid chains. The fats are 3 types - saturated, unsaturated, trans fats. Each fatty acid is made up of a long chain of carbon atoms with hydrogen atoms. If there is a single bond between the carbon atoms and more hydrogen atoms, it is called saturated fatty acids. If the carbon atoms have double bonds and fewer hydrocarbons called unsaturated fatty acids. If the fat has one double bond is known as monounsaturated fat, if the fat has multiple double bonds called polyunsaturated fat. Trans fats are one type of unsaturated fats. It forms due to the location of hydrogen atoms besides the double-bonded carbon atoms. If the 2 hydrogen atoms place in one side of the double-bonded carbon, it forms cis conformation. if the 2 hydrogen atoms are located on the opposite side of the carbon double bond is known as trans fatty acids. It is bad fat.
