Answer: cultural differences do play a a role almost half to these misunderstandings and miscommunications because cultural practices have changed, with a change in generation so there is an interlink between cultural differences and generations differences .

Changes have occurred cultural and throughout the generation as time passes.

How our mothers grew up and how we grow up now has changed dramatically which create that rift between what we see normal and what they see to be abnormal .

For example dating has changed how it is done now and how they use to do it is not the same anymore , even being open with sex talks may be different than how it used to be in their time .
