Solve:

As we can see, the given figure is a vertical angle.

Vertical angle = angles that are opposite of each other when two lines cross. Which also means the two pairs of opposite angles are equal to each other.

Therefore the equation for this question is;

(12x + 24 ) = 108

12 x + 24 = 108

12x + 24 - 24 = 108-24 [Subtract 24 from both sides]

12x = 84 [ Divide 156 by 12]

x = 7

Since, the sum of all the four angles formed by intersecting line is 360°.

We get,

(12x-24) + 108 + 2z = 360° (Take 2z as opposite angles are equal)

2z = 360 - 108 + 24 - 12 × 7

2z = 360 - 108 + 24 -84

2z = 360 - 108 - 60

2z = 360 - 168

2z = 192
