The sum of two numbers is 12 times larger than one set and 29 times larger than the other set. What are those numbers and what is their sum?​

This is a very impossible question to solve because we are not given any idea what both sets are, or at least either of them is. And thus, even if we write down an inequality equation, I doesn't solve the question, it rather makes one ask more questions.

If the two numbers are, say, a and b, and the first set is x, while the second set is y then we have an inequality in the sense that

a + b = 12x

a + b = 29y

How to proceed with no idea what x or y is, is well, not possible
