Answer:
15

Explanation:

Given the following exercise:

(50)/(5)+(3*4)/(2)-1

In order to simplify it, you need to follow these steps:

- The first step is to solve the multiplications and the divisions indicated in the exercise.

- The second step is to solve the additions and subtractions.

Therefore, knowing this, you get:

10+(3*4)/(2)-1=10+(12)/(2)-1=10+6-1=15

To solve this you must use the rules of PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponent, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)

There are no parentheses or exponents in this expression, so to the next step (Multiplication/Division)

Now comes the problematic part, in which many people get confused. Although in the PEMDAS order it shows multiplication before division, you must remember that multiplication and division are "paired." This means that you will apply these two operations in the order they come first in the expression as you read it from left to right.

In this case that would be division first then multiplication.

NOTE: This rule also applies when you are dealing with addition and subtraction in the same expression

50÷5+3×4÷2-1

50 ÷ 5 = 10

10 + 3 × 4 ÷ 2 - 1

3 × 4 = 12

10 + 12 ÷ 2 - 1

12 ÷ 2 = 6

10 + 6 - 1

Addition/Subtraction

10 + 6 - 1

10 + 6 = 16

16 - 1

Hope this helped!
