The pros of inactivated and live attenuated vaccines are that the inactivated vaccine cannot result in disease as the microorganisms do not possess the tendency to replicate. On the other hand, the microbes in attenuated vaccines can reproduce and do not generally need any kind of boosters, that is, they can replicate and enhance the immune reaction and memory of the event.

The cons are that the inactivated vaccines are restricted to the number of microbes administered, and as they cannot reproduce they may need a booster shot to enhance the number of memory cells and antibody titer. On the other hand, attenuated vaccines can result in a disease in immunocompromised individuals.
