19x - 5 = 7 + 15x ( subtract 15x from both sides )

4x - 5 = 7 ( add 5 to both sides )

4x = 12 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 3

As a check

Substitute x = 3 into the equation and if both sides are equal then it is the solution.

left side = (19 × 3) - 5 = 57 - 5 = 52

right side = 7 + (15 × 3) = 7 + 45 = 52

Hence x = 3 is the solution
