Opposite of cosine is basically this ratio "flipped". So that is "hypotenuse" to the "adjacent".

This has been given the name secant.

Hence, the opposite of cosine is called secant and it's triangle ratio is "hypotenuse" by "adjacent". If we have an angle A, then we can write:


Sec(A)=(Hypotenuse)/(Adjacent)
