Why do lunar eclipses typically last much longer than solar eclipses?

This can be explained as:

Solar eclipses occur when the man cast its shadow on the earth i.e., basically it is the shadow of moon on the earth whereas lunar eclipses is when the sun s blocked by the shadow of the earth i.e., we can say that lunar eclipse is the shadow of the earth on the moon.

Since, Earth is bigger than the moon and therefore, the shadow casted by the Earth on the moon will linger more than the shadow of the moon casted on the Earth.

This is the reason that Lunar eclipses last for quite aa longer time than the solar eclipses.
