A body moves in a perfectly circular path at constant speed. Are there forces acting in such a system? How do you know?

Answer and Explanation:

As the body moves at a constant speed but its direction is changes at every instant so there is an acceleration in body and yes a centripetal force will act on the the body we can feel it the centripetal force will be directed towards the center of the path around which the body is moving . When there is motion in circular path then we feel that our body something inclined towards the center of circular path

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

When an object is moving around a circular path with constant speed, the velocity keeps on changing as the direction of motion continuously changing. So, it experiences a tangential acceleration, thus it experiences a force in tangential direction.

As the object is moving around a circular path, it experiences a centripetal force which is always directed towards the centre of the circular path.

Thus, two forces acting on the object, one is in tangential direction and the other is in radially inwards direction. the resultant of the two forces is the net froce acting on the object.
