5•x=5x
5•7=35
5x=35
Divide 5x by both sides
X=7

Well you have to combine 5 and X then 5 and 7 so it would come out to 5X+35. Then, you have to get the X by itself. You do this by making the problem like so 5X+35=0. Then, you bring the +35 to the other side of the = making the problem 5X= -35. Now, you divide both sides by 5 making the problem X= -7. So, the answer for X is -7
