Suppose you are standing in the center of a large, densely populated city that is exactly circular, surrounded by a ring of suburbs with lower-density population, surrounded in turn by a ring of farmland. From this specific location, would you say the population distribution is isotropic? Homogeneous?

Answer:

Homogenity means identical and even distribution of matter in every location and isotropic means distribution that is the same in every direction. The population is inhomogeneous because it consist of different species and has an uneven distribution, however it is isotropic because the distribution is the same in every direction. if you were to cut the circular section from the center to the end, in every direction you may look it will always be the same.
