Generally speaking, scientists have developed four different methods of determining the age of the earth. By using these methods, or a combination of them, the age of geological formations created by past events and even the fossilized bones of prehistoric animals can be determined.

Answer:

New technologies allow scientists to perform calculations that are increasingly more accurate and correct in relation to the age of the earth.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to most scientists who study the Earth's geological past, our planet is approximately 4.5 billion years old. However, this is not a totally accurate measurement, as the margin of error for this dating is estimated at 10%. Several times before, the age of the Earth was recalculated as new evidence was found and techniques improved. What was seen is that, with each measurement made, the Earth was older than imagined.

The advancement of technology, allows this margin of error to become smaller and smaller, because it allows scientists to calculate the age of the earth with precision more and more and closer to the correct one.
