A class contains 15 female and 9 male students. Find the probability that a student chosen at random is a female, and then a second student chosen at random from the remaining students is also female.

Explanation:

There are 15 + 9 = 24 total students.

There is a 15/24 chance a student picked will be female because there are 15 females and 24 total students.

If one female is taken out there will be a 14/23 chance of a female being picked out. Because there will be 14 females left, and 23 students left.

The chances of both happening are 15/24 * 14/23

So there is a 210/552 = 35/92 chance.
