The probability of flipping a coin and noting Heads is 50%. If you flip the coin 100 times, what is the standard deviation of Heads to be noted? Insert your answer in decimal format correct to at least 3 significant figures.

\sigma=√(np(1-p)), where p is the probability of getting success in each trial and n is the number of trials.

Given : The probability of flipping a coin and noting Heads is = 0.50

The total number of trials = 100

Then , the standard deviation of Heads to be noted will be :-


\sigma=√(100(0.50)(0.50))=5.000

Hence, the standard deviation of Heads to be noted = 5.000
