Explanation:

In a parallelogram opposite sides are equal/congruent.

Using this, we know that 3a-4=a+2 and b+1=2b

1st equation:

3a-4=a+2

-a -a

2a-4=2

+4 +4

2a=6

a=3

2nd equation:

b+1=2b

-b -b

b=1

a=3, b=1
