If 3/4 of a cup of food gives you 40% of your daily value of calcium, then how many cups of the food will give you 100% of the daily value of calcium? I need to use a table or double number line to solve.

Answer:

3/2 cups of food

Explanation:

3/4 cups 40% (This was given in the question)

6/4 cups 80% (Then double the amount. 3/4 x 2 = 6/4 | 40 x 2 = 80)

3/2 cups 100% (Finally, add the remaining 20% to get to 100%. To do so add half of the amount you added earlier. 6/8 + 6/4 = 18/12 | 18/12 = 3/2)
