Cheryl took her family to the movies and purchased 3 child tickets and 4 adult tickets for $69. Tyrone purchased 3 adult tickets for $36. Let x represent the cost of a child ticket (in dollars) and y represent the cost of an adult ticket (in dollars). Use a graph to find the cost of a child movie ticket and the cost of an adult movie ticket.

  • Child ticket = $7, adult ticket = $12

  • 3x + 4y = 69

3 adult tickets for $36:

  • 3y = 36
