An angle and its opposite side are known

Sin (of the angle)= opposite/ hypotenuse

The hypotenuse is equal to the length of the ladder, therefore solve the hypotenuse

Sin (32)= 20/ hypotenuse

hypotenuse= 20/ Sin (32)

Sin (32)=0.5299

hypotenuse= 20/ 0.5299

37.74 ft
