y= 28/17

x= 57/17

Explanation:

5x + 2y = 22

-2x + 6y = 3

(2)(5x + 2y = 22)→ 10x + 4y = 44

(5)(-2x + 6y = 3)→ -10x +30y = 15

Add this last eq → 34y=56 → y= 28/17

Replace this in any equation

-2x + 6(28/17) = 3 → x= - (54/17-168/17)/2 = 57/17
