We know that both triangles are congruent because of the HL Theorem (in which both the hypotenuse and a leg are confirmed as congruent in a right triangle). Because of this, we know 4x = 6x - 58

Subtract 6x from both sides:

-2x = -58

Multiply both sides by -1:

2x = 58

Divide both sides by 2:

x = 29

The answer is Option C, x = 29

Answer:

The value of x = 29

Explanation:

Points to remember

Corresponding angles of congruent triangles are congruent.

To find the value of x

From the figure we can see two congruent triangle by HL congruence.

ΔABC and ΔADC

m<DCA = m<ACB

4x = 6x - 58

6x - 4x = 58

2x = 58

x = 58/2 = 29

Therefore the value of x = 29
