Are the two triangles below similar?

Triangles STU and VWX are shown. Angle S equals 28 degrees, Angle T equals 70 degrees, Angle W equals 70 degrees, Angle X equals 92 degrees, side ST equals 8, side WX equals 4, side VX equals 10.

Answer with explanation:

⇒Information about ΔSTU

∠S=28°

∠T=70°

Third Angle using Angle sum property of Triangle

∠U=180°-70°-28°

=82°

ST=8 units

⇒Description of Δ VWX

∠W=70°

∠X=92°

Third Angle using Angle sum property of Triangle

∠U=180°-70°-92°

=18°

WX=4 units

VX=10 Units

Now, In ΔSTU and Δ VWX

The corresponding Angles of two triangles are not equal.And, the description about corresponding sides are not equal.

Option D

No; they do not have congruent corresponding angles.

Answer:

No; they do not have congruent corresponding angles.

Explanation:

Angle U is ...

180° -28° -70° = 82°

The "corresponding" angle in ΔVWX is ∠X = 92°. These are not congruent, so the triangles cannot be similar.
