Multiply the two brackets together

(x+5)(x-5)

(x)(x)(-5)(x)(+5)(x)(5)(-5)

x^2-5x+5x-25

x^2-25

Answer: x^2-25 ( third choice)

Answer:

x^2 − 25

Explanation:

(x + 5)(x − 5)

which is then

x(x − 5) and 5(x − 5)

= x^2 -5x + 5x - 25

-5x and 5x cancel each other out, so you're left with

x^2 − 25
